The aim is to organize the event according to the criteria of the Austrian Eco-label for Green Events.

The METRO Kinokulturhaus for Austrian and international film shows retrospectives and homages as well as interesting temporary exhibitions. The heart of the METRO is a historic, heritage listed cinema auditorium dating to 1893, which was converted into a theater in 1924. With its wood paneling and red interior, it ranks among the most beautiful cinemas in Vienna nowadays.

At the 21st edition of the festival, the METRO Kinokulturhaus will host the programs of the Animation Avantgarde competition, the Late Night program in addition to analog film programs, live performances and the Austrian Music Video Award (MUVI) with a cinema concert by Kimyan Law.
