It's a jubilant day here at VIENNA SHORTS: You can now buy tickets for the 19th edition of the festival (May 25-30 in Viennese cinemas, until June 30 online) via our ticket store or (drum roll!) in our brand new app!

We’ve been wishing for it for years, we’ve been tinkering with it for months, and just in time for the festival, it’s becoming reality: For the first time ever, you can download the VIENNA SHORTS app to browse our program in detail, plan your festival visit, reserve seats and buy tickets. This makes us the first film festival in Austria to offer a practical, innovative festival planner via app.

The VIENNA SHORTS app is now available for Android and iOS. And: Version 2.0 will already follow sometime in June, allowing you to stream films from our film portal directly in the app.

ONE-WAY TICKETS AND FESTIVAL PASSES

You can choose between tickets for individual events and festival passes for the entire cinema or online program.

Admission to a cinema screening costs € 8.50 and to a live event € 10. Tickets for our children’s program Cinemini are available for € 4.50. You don’t need tickets for the two open-air screenings at Wild im West and the industry events—admission is free here.

You don’t want to plan in advance what you’re going to see at the festival, but rather decide freely at any time? Then the festival pass is just right for you. With the Cinema pass (€ 25) you can see great cinema on the big screen and meet the filmmakers live. You prefer to watch on the sofa or on the road? Then treat yourself to the Online Pass! ACCESS TO THIS IS SHORT AT HALF PRICE

Speaking of tickets: You don't have to wait until our festival starts on May 25 to enjoy short films. Since April 1 and until June 30, the European streaming project THIS IS SHORT is active. At the halfway point, the price for access has been cut in half: From now on you get access to the platform—and thus also to the online offer of VIENNA SHORTS—for € 9,99 (industry: € 11,99).
