In collaboration with the Johann Strauss 2025 Anniversary Year, the festival is currently seeking modern and cliché-free cinematic interpretations to shed new light on the popular evergreen The Blue Danube. New edits, music videos, or freshly produced short films can still be submitted until January 5. The top nine works will be awarded with a total of €12,000 and showcased on May 28 during the festival and at the summer Film Festival on Rathausplatz. The grand prize is worth €6,000.
