The Social Responsibility Award goes to the highly topical film “getty abortions” by Franzis Kabisch, which critically examines the power of images and their role in the public debate on abortion. The award for Best Sound Design goes to Caroline Polke and her team for their work on “Ich hab dich tanzen sehn” by Sarah Pech, the award-winning film of the Austrian competition. The jury describes how the sound wonderfully complements, sensitively outlines, surprises, and supports the film's narrative. The Prix très chic, determined by applause-o-meter in the program of the same name on Friday evening, is once again shared by two films: this year, “Baby Steps” by Hannah Mamalis and “Not Surgery Hours” by Tia Salisbury stood out.
