Short films at Impulstanz, Kino wie noch nie & Rathausplatz

A month has passed since the end of our 20th festival edition. We would be happy if you stay loyal to the short form––for example at one of our summer events: In the coming weeks, we will be showing short films at Impulstanz, Kino wie noch nie and at Rathausplatz.

Anyone who has seen Marlene Hauser on the big screen will never forget her: She became an audience favorite last year with the short film Hollywood in our Austrian Competition as well as in the Academy Award entry Corsage. In cooperation with the Filmarchiv Austria, we will be showing three current short films with the exceptional actress in the presence of Marlene Hauser on July 13 at the beautiful open air cinema Kino wie noch nie: Aufnahmen einer Wetterkamera by Bernhard Wenger, Cornetto im Gras by David Lapuch, as well as the atmospherically dense rural drama Until I lie still (Yana Eresina), which won the Youth Jury Prize at this year's festival. The program will be repeated the following day at 7:30 p.m. at METRO Kinokulturhaus.

FILMFESTIVAL AT VIENNA RATHAUSPLATZ

August 4, 5 p.m.

It’s often the little things and the short moments that keep us busy the longest. A word that sticks. A thought that won’t let go of us. A nice gesture that still puts a smile on our faces days later. The programme The Small Moments for children (from the age of 4) is also about the big things like friendship and solidarity, which are usually expressed in small things. A short film programme for the little ones that will also make parents smile.
