Austrian Music Video Award to Rupert Höller & Oehl
Austrian Music Video Award to Rupert Höller & Oehl
For the 8th time already, the Austrian Music Video Award was presented within the framework of Vienna Shorts. This year, Rupert Höller, who participated in the competition with two videos, was happy to receive the award, which is endowed with 1,000 Euros: for his stylish work “Über Nacht” for the band Oehl.
A total of 16 videos were entered in this year's competition for the music video prize, the gala of which was originally supposed to have taken place at the Porgy & Bess jazz club in Vienna; but there, on Sunday, only the sole analogue event of the festival took place: the live gig of the band MELA, which was made possible at short notice.
Höller, who comes from Salzburg and lives in Vienna, has been represented in the competition time and again for years. Last year he received a Special Mention for his video for Leyya's “Wannabe”. This year, his work on Lou Asril's “Friek” was the second video to be shown in the competition.
This year's jury consisted of former award winner Patryk Senwicki (AT), the director of the Short Waves Festival, Emilia Mazik (PL), and the editor-in-chief of the gap magazine Theresa Ziegler. Here you can find the jury decision in detail.
We would like to thank the award donor FAMA (Film & Music Austria).
