The Uppsala Kortfilmfestivalen celebrates its 42nd edition at the end of October with two programs curated by us as part of an extensive Austrian focus.

Under the title WORLD WONDERING, Vienna Shorts takes a look at Austrian filmmakers with a pronounced love of experimentation - albeit not with flickering images and noisy sounds, but with wild mixtures of genres and approaches and with a seemingly effortless shift from the performative to the humorous and from the political to the personal. The selection of films is correspondingly eclectic.

While the Austrian focus also includes programs by sixpackfilm, curator Djamila Grandits, the Friedl Kubelka school and a solo feature on Antoinette Zwirchmayr, we are also pleased to present our late-night special KINKY KINO. According to the curators Eva Krenner and Tom Kiesecoms, the erotic program will lead to a "delicious, wet and creamy climax" late Friday evening. Enjoy!
