The first prizes were awarded yesterday evening at METRO Kinokulturhaus following an electrifying concert by Kimyan Law. Clemens Niel, who received an Honourable Mention last year, won the 12th Austrian Music Video Award (MUVI) for the video The Dream by the band oh alien. The jury commended the video for its "cinematic elegance, convincing visual language, and strong direction," which effectively tells "a humorous story with a serious undertone." The Graz-based director received €2,500 in prize money (sponsored by Film- und Musikwirtschaft Wien) and a qualification for the Austrian Film Award 2025. This year's Honourable Mention was awarded to Shahin Hefter for the music video Cover Me in Silver by the artist LIZKI. Our warmest congratulations to all the winners!
