This year, our Fiction & Documentary competition presents 27 films from 22 countries, while 24 experimental and animated works from 12 nations will be showcased in the Animation Avantgarde competition—all inviting you back to the cinema. These visually striking films explore themes of critical self-determination, the impact of war, and the transformation of our living environments, while also highlighting the visionary and innovative spirit of artistic cinema. The largest number of entries comes from Germany and Great Britain, followed closely by the USA and Canada. We’re also thrilled to include films from Iran, South Korea, and Ukraine.
