Introducing: this year’s youth jury!

The twelve members are apprentices at Jugend am Werk Bildungs:Raum GmbH. Some of them are currently completing an apprenticeship in car body construction technology, while others are training to become ladies’ apparel makers. Over the past few weeks, they have been working together with a film expert to view and discuss the nominated films. At the festival, they will award the € 1,500 Youth Jury Prize to the best Austrian narrative film.

Kinder und Jugendliche: FARBSPRITZER UND FILMRISSE

With age-appropriate programs, we want to inspire children and young people to visit the cinema as early as possible and at the same time actively promote skills in dealing with the medium of film. This year we are looking forward to four short film programs for different age groups: Two largely animated film programs are intended for children aged 3 to 6; one program was developed by schoolchildren in the course of workshops lasting several weeks; another, more challenging program is aimed at young people aged 14 and over.
