We are feeling bittersweet but immensely grateful: After seven eventful and successful years, Doris Bauer is stepping down from the festival management at the end of September—and the achievements of these years are truly impressive.

During her tenure, the festival became a partner in two European networks and received the Austrian Ecolabel certification, the digital infrastructure was significantly expanded, and the longstanding prize statuette was replaced by tree trophies. Internally, the professionalization of the festival structure, the improvement of working conditions and salary structures, as well as a 150% increase in annual revenue, are particularly noteworthy.

”Every step of my work was driven by passion and conviction,“ says Bauer, ”and I am proud of what we have achieved together.“ She will continue to be involved with the festival as a programmer. The new financial manager will start on October 1.
