For the 21st edition of VIENNA SHORTS (May 28 to June 2, 2024), we received almost 6,000 short films from all over the world. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the filmmakers who entrusted us with their films! The next step is to select around 35 productions each for the international Fiction & Documentary and Animation Avantgarde competitions, as well as around 15 to 25 films each for the two national categories, the Austrian Competition and the Austrian Music Video Award. Prize money totaling 25,000 euros will be awarded. The winners can also qualify for the Oscars, the BAFTA, the European Film Awards and the Austrian Film Awards and win one of our award trees.
