In 2012, 22 film festivals joined forces (due to our initiative) during the Viennale to form the Forum of Austrian Film Festivals (FÖFF) in order to connect more strongly and to change the unbearable funding situation. Together, the festivals have achieved quite a bit—currently, the FÖFF is fighting, among other things, for a cost-of-living adjustment, so that the high inflation does not eat up the tender successes and funding increases of the past years.
