THIS IS SHORT is the collective streaming platform with our partner festivals Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen (DE), Go Short (NL), 25FPS (HR), Uppsala Kortfilmfestival (SE) und IndieLisboa (PT) and has operated as a year-round and globally available streaming service since November 2023.

The focus is on fascinating films, curated by fabulous festivals. The offer is aimed at the curious and cinephiles, at arthouse and festival audiences, at those who make films and those who want to discover talent. It’s all about great cinema, with due brevity.

The service is run by the EUROPEAN SHORT FILM NETWORKand co-financed by the EU audiovisual funding program MEDIA. The site is organized as a non-profit and aims to support European and international short films and filmmakers.

In addition to the jointly curated program on the main page, each festival also has its own 'window,' which serves as an extension of the respective festival program. In the Vienna Shorts window, we feature European highlights and thematic specials curated specifically for the platform.
