EUROPEAN FILM AWARDS

The network of the European Film Academy spans the whole of Europe from its headquarters in Berlin and includes 29 festivals, which are regarded as their countries’ flagships for work with short films. In addition to regular exchange within the framework of its partner festivals, the EFA is interested in offering European talents a strong platform and the best possible promotion.

VIENNA SHORTS has been an official partner festival of the Academy since November 2018 and is thus a qualifying festival for the short film category at the European Film Awards. We are in top-class company alongside festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Locarno and Venice, as well as the short film festivals from Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere and Vila do Conde.
