Jacques Tati
* 1907 in Le Pecq (Seine-et-Oise), died 1982 near Paris.
The son of a Dutch mother and a Russian father is regarded as one of the most important comedy directors of film history. A recurring character in his films is Monsieur Hulot. Jacques Tati is the father of Sophie Tatischeff.
