Rainer Egger

* 1960 in Innsbruck.

Rainer Egger learned acting at Innsbruck's cellar theatre as well as by Ruben Fraga and Oskar Werner. In 1985, he received his acting diploma by the examination board of the labour union. He has played numerous roles on stage, has engaged in readings and has been narrator of documentary films and radio plays. Rainer Egger has played about 50 roles on film and television and has worked with directors such as Dieter Berner, Sabine Derflinger, Robert Dornhelm, Florian Flicker, Andreas Gruber, Paul Harather, Nikolaus Leytner, Ruth Mader, Peter Patzak, Thomas Roth, Xaver Schwarzenberger, Harald Sicheritz and Götz Spielmann. He received acting awards at the Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis in 1990 and at the Alpinale in 1987. Rainer Egger lives in Innsbruck and Vienna.
