Songül Boyraz studied sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Michelangelo Pistoletto and Peter Kogler). She works in the fields of photography, video and installations. She lives in Vienna.
