Clive Brill

After graduating from Oxford University, Clive Brill worked for the BBC for twelve years as a producer and commissioning editor. In 1990 he became head of Development for BBC TV Series, producing a number of BBC series and films. During this time he also directed several plays in theatre. From 1996 on, he directed all 38 Shakespeare plays for the Arkangel Complete Shakespeare project, which starred many famous British actors such as John Gielgud, Eileen Atkins, Joe Fiennes, Alan Howard and Sinead Cusack. He also produced Margaret Thatcher reading The Gettysburg Address for EMI Classics. In 2000 he founded the production company Pacificus Productions. This company also produced his short film Room 11 which he presented in Vienna during VIS Vienna Independent Shorts 2005. He gives lectures on drama and scriptwriting, too. Clive Brill lives in London.
