Structural approach, propensity to mathematical minimalism and a penchant for clear shapes and lines. To a certain degree Pfaffenbichler and Schreiber also indulge in this penchant in those films that came into being outside of their artistic collaboration: although the approach becomes more narrative and the styles differ from one another considerably, the mostly very precise quest for form and the highly analytical and detailed modus operandi are very present here as well.
