The silver screen floats in a church, is secured to the ceiling of a room or is populated by zombies – in the course of VIS 2007 you may look forward to some special programmes. In the Reformed Church horror films will haunt you, the Schikaneder invites in the summer at its “lying cinema”, the small auditorium at the Top Kino, offering an exquisite programme, will be a haven for all trash fans. And last but not least: the Spanish delights offered at “Film & Food” will leave nothing to be desired!

In the last years Spain has proved to be one of those countries to have given special attention to the genre of short films. At the same time the quality of Spanish short films is always very good – so a special programme in honour of the “cortometrajes” was just a matter of time. This programme, combined with Spanish food, should be a culinary-cinematic delight.

Get into Shorts is the festivals incentive for supporting young film makers. Each year the production of a new Austrian short film is supervised by a festival employee. Participation in Get into Shorts is free.
