Panorama
This year, in addition to the international competition there will also be a programme (Panorama) providing an overview of Austrian (short)film-making. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively from 7 pm the Schikaneder cinema will provide a platform for Austrian short films of high standard. There will be an audience award on each of the three evenings – the 3 Short Film Awards of 333,-EUR each. The three awards will be presented during the Fest of at the Klub OST at midnight.
The programme “My Way” shows typical environments of the young, be it the work place or sports field, or love and relationship – accurately observed, humorously analysed or artistically developed. Some of the most concise Austrian short films of the year will be presented in this programme.
Thursday, 17 May 2007, 7 pm – Schikaneder
The second Panorama programme comprises eight Austrian films in the area of conflict of politics, women and society. The chosen films range from experimental films, feature films, documentary-like films right up to works dominated by music. All contributions definitely have a lot to say, in a very personal, playful, appealing, open or arousing style. -
At the beginning of this programme the winning film of the competition on www.kurzfilme.at will be introduced. Online-voting is possible until just before the beginning of the festival!
Friday, 18 May 2007, 7 pm – Schikaneder
Everyday life beyond the commonplace: In the last Panorama-programme, narrations and impressions will alternate, giving a representative sample of Austrian (independent) film-making. Another focal point of the programme deals with the totally “normal” aspects beyond general perception.
