VIS Vienna Independent Shorts 2006
For the third time VIS Vienna Independent Shorts was held from May 21st to May 28th, 2006. Beside locations in Vienna (Top Kino, Reformed Church, OST) parallel events took place in Dornbirn, Graz and Innsbruck. 685 films from 52 countries were submitted. Altogether 216 works were shown, among them also a tribute to Austrian film-maker Mara Mattuschka, the Vienna premiere of The Mozart Minute and a Focus Balkans. Additionally to the Golden Shorts Award there were the diemelange Short Film Award and the DocuZone Austria Short Film Award.
