Holger Lang
* 1964 in Nürnberg.
Holger Lang ist in Nürnberg/BRD geboren und in Niederösterreich aufgewachsen. Zur Zeit lebt und arbeitet er als freischaffender Künstler und unabhängiger Filmemacher in Wien, er reist aber auch viel und gerne um die halbe Welt. Neben dokumentarischen Langfilmen ist experimentelle Video-Kunst sein breitestes und vielseitigstes Schaffensgebiet, er arbeitet auch als bildender Künstler mit traditionellen Medien. Seine Filme und Videos sind international in Galerien, Festivals und bei individuellen Screenings zu erleben. In seiner bisherigen akademischen Laufbahn hatte er verschiedene Richtungen studiert und mit einem Master-Degree abgeschlossen. Seit über 10 Jahren unterrichtet er audio-visuelle Produktion für Kunst- und Medien-Studenten in St.Louis, Missouri, USA und seit 2004 auch in Wien. Er schätzt interdisziplinären Austausch und die Suche nach persönlicher Freiheit.

Abstrahiert und verfremdet funktionieren die gezeigten Naturaufnahmen nur noch als Bildrauschen und Licht-Tapete mit der Ästhetik eines flimmernden Fernsehbildes. Die unveränderte Tonebene ist der einzig klar erkennbare Hinweis auf die Herkunft der Bilder.
